Fast and Fun New Years Eve Party Tips!

Fast and Fun New Years Eve Party Tips!

Ring in the New Year with some festive ideas for your New Years Eve Celebration!  We love a great glass of champagne to ring in the New Year, but with this delicious and very simple recipe, you can have your champagne in a fun and sparkly Jell-O shot!

nye6

What you will need for 15 Champagne Shots:

10 oz plus 5oz champagne (Don’t feel the need to break the bank on your bottle of Champagne, sometimes the less expensive bottles tend to be sweeter and tastes better!)
1 tablespoon sugar
3 envelopes Knox plain gelatin (Tip!: There are three envelopes in one box of Gelatin) Colored Sparkling Sugar (Feel Free to add a few drops of food coloring to add some color to the sugar if you do not have access to colored sugar)

How to prepare these sweet treats:

Place 10 oz of the champagne and sugar in a sauce pan and then sprinkle gelatin on top. Let gelatin soften for about 2 minutes.

Place saucepan over low heat and stir until gelatin has completely dissolved, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and add in remaining 5 oz of champagne and stir to combine.

Pour mixture into a pan or glass dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. The colder the Jell-O the easier it will be to cut into squares with little slide.

To release the Jell-O, dip the pan into warm water for less than a minute and use a knife along the sides to gently release. Use a sharp knife to cut squares.

Dip the tops in the sparkling sugar and serve with a festive toothpick.

Lay a layer of your sparkling sugar in the bottom of your serving piece as this will prevent any slipping while cutting them apart later.

Keep the prepared Jell-O shots in the refrigerator until guests arrive!

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Bright, Southwestern Rehearsal Dinner

Posted In Uncategorized

Michelle and Brandon’s wedding was mostly filled with neutrals so for their rehearsal dinner, we wanted to welcome guests with a really fun and bright event. El Chorro was the perfect location to create the southwestern feel the couple was looking for.

We love these linens from La Tavola Fine Linens, especially paired with the bright colors of the napkins and table runners.

No matter the color scheme, season, or type of event, Petal Pusher never disappoints. But the floral they created for this rehearsal was beyond words! The bright colors with the fun pots was truly southwest heaven!

Another detail that turned out even more fabulous than we imagined, were the paper products created by Celebrations in Paper. The menus, seating cards, and all of the other touches were the cherry on top!

Michelle and Brandon-Cocktails and Reception

Brushfire_Richman_097

One of the most important things for Michelle and Brandon was that their guests had an amazing time. We wanted to start the party off right away with a great cocktail hour. We brought in a three sided bar so that no guest would be left without a drink in hand! Lounge furniture was placed in the lawn and string lights were hung to continue the intimate feel.

The seating card wall was definitely one of our favorite details!! Petal Pusher did such a fabulous job creating the moss and floral wall and it was the perfect focal point during cocktail hour. We made sure to get plenty of use out of the wall by using the opposite side as the bar backdrop. Once all of the guests had their seating cards and the reception began, the wall was transformed into the backdrop of the slow motion video booth!

Like almost all of the rooms in the Arizona Biltmore, the Grand Ballroom has many unique architectural details that are very “Biltmore”. We wanted to enhance the look of the room without making it look too much like every other ballroom. We draped the ceiling and the walls but kept certain aspects of the architecture to keep just enough of the history.

Michelle loved the idea of mixing rectangle tables with rounds. Petal Pusher kept the floral arrangements low and placed a mix of smaller arrangements on each table.

The round custom dance floor is another favorite of ours. Platinum Pro did a truly amazing job capturing the watercolor design from Michelle and Brandon’s invitations and the shape was the perfect thing to bring the room together.

These table numbers were what we like to call #vcgenius. We were actually searching online for a card box when Victoria thought of the amazing idea to create agate table numbers. Finding the perfect sliced agate then became our new mission and we have to say, they turned out better than we even imagined! We love how unique each one was, and they brought a bit of a”harder” element to the loose flowers and soft colors.

We love these black and whites of the couple enjoying the dance floor, cake, and a fabulous champagne tower!

Michelle and Brandon- Fabulous Details and Fun Bridal Party Photos

Brushfire_Richman_002

This wedding was full of style. Between Michelle’s gorgeous dress, perfectly styled veil, and her jaw-dropping emerald earrings, there was a not a shortage of pretty things to look at! The groom also showed up with his fashion game strong! Brandon’s bow tie, shoes, and sunglasses were just a few of his spot on accessories.

Not to be redundant, but we also LOVE Michelle’s engagement ring. The gold band in the photo above is Michelle’s grandmother’s wedding band. That is the ring that was used in the ceremony along with Brandon’s band.

Michelle and Brandon are great separately, but when they are together…. magical photos are born.

Michelle had each of her bridesmaids select their own dress in a blush and gold color palette. All of the girls did a fabulous job picking out their dresses and they could not have come together more seamlessly.

The picture below on the right is of Michelle and her sister (and Matron of Honor!) Stephanie. Victoria also planned Stephanie’s wedding to Jordan in 2008!

This group of guys were so much fun! It was really important to Brandon to get multiple photos of the groomsmen in different locations. Brushfire Photography did an AMAZING job capturing all of their personalities and we can not get enough of the two photos below.

To end this blog post, we just HAD to include a photo of the ring bearer. He is Michelle’s nephew and seriously too cute for words! I mean, just look at those blue eyes and curly hair!! (insert emoji with heart eyes)
