Kid Friendly Morning and Evening Checklist

We love a good check list! But we also love when our kids are independent. We have created a morning and evening check list for our little ones. This helps them to get in a route for getting ready for school the night before and in the morning.

Documenting the 1st Day and Last Day

We have created a printable for your child to hold for their 1st day and last day of school picture. It is always fun to compare how much your child has grown over the course of a school year when looking back.

Teacher Thank You’s

Teachers are always working and preparing for the school year way before the first day of school. We like to thank them for all they do and continue to do.

First Day Survival Kit

Why not spoil your child’s teacher with some fun items that are sure to not disappoint.

We gathered the following:

  • Comfy Socks – To rest your tired feet
  • A Starbucks or restaurant gift card – For a morning pick me up or a quick dinner after work
  • Bath Bomb – To remind you to relax
  • Hand Sanitizer – To keep pesky germs away
  • Emergancy – Got to stay healthy for a long school year

Stuff all the items in a cute gift bag or bin and send it with your child on the first day.

Fresh Flowers in the Fun Vase

It can be a challenge to keep your children entertained the last few days of summer. After all the school shopping and back to school organizing, you can have your child help create a nice gift for their future teacher.

Simple glue unsharpened yellow pencils around a vase (We used hot glue to ensure they stuck to the glass of the vase). When the vase is completely covered in pencils, fill it with water and some beautiful assorted flowers. This is a quick and fun gift sure to please any teacher or school staff member.

Organize, Organize, Organize

Children always have important documents, records, or projects that you want to keep but don’t always have the place for. We like to organize these items in a file box with dividers. You can label the divider by grade level or age. Whatever important document you receive throughout the years will be placed in their coordinating divider to be easily found at a later date.
