Brooke and Patrick’s Newport, CA wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty and it’s been so hard for us to contain ourselves and not share their wedding pictures with you- we LOVED everything about it (see Part 1 of the wedding here) and the reception was just a continuation of the gorgeousness…

Guests enjoyed fun signature drinks with names like “Newport Sunset” and indulging in a Bubbly Bar with the most delicious options among various seating arrangements; a white Manzanita tree was used for seating cards and white coral decor served as a subtle nod to the ocean-side location.

The Bubbly Bar at the cocktail hour was one of the things we were the most excited about- it included Rose’ Champagne and berries to add to the cocktails. To make the bar stand out, we added a hanging floral backdrop of glass cylinders filled with rose petals.

 

 

The reception was yet another chance to wow the guests and we did so with lush flowers in the sunset inspired color palette of white, orange and pink; flowers filled the entire ballroom with subtle color and grace including rose chair bands and single roses at each guest’s place setting. The high ceiling provided an opportunity to dress up the room even more- the floral chandelier hanging over the dance floor was a showstopper!

The linen on the guest tables had a subtle floral pattern and we incorporated the same design on the custom round dance floor. To highlight the head table, we used a mirrored tabletop and paired it with fabric dining chairs for a luxurious and comfortable look!

For the dance floor, we wanted to create a custom design that would enhance the rest of the room- we thought round would be the best shape for the dance floor and to make it even more custom, we added a matte vinyl that matched the floral pattern on the linen.

The design of the cake went perfectly with the rest of the event by incorporating the floral pattern; the subtle tone on tone palette kept it simple and elegant.

Later in the night, a surprise after party area was revealed- a second dance floor and a photo area kept the guests entertained all night and we think the late night snacks of lobster corn dogs and mini grilled cheese sandwiches helped keep them going too!
